Choosing a tutoring school: what to check
A checklist for parents — class size, teachers, and make-up class policies.
The best school is the one that fits your child's goal and learning style. Use these questions when you visit or try a class.
- How many per class — will the teacher see my child's work?
- Who teaches, and for how long have they taught this subject?
- What happens after a missed class?
- How will I hear about progress?
- What does the fee include? Any extras?
Be wary of guaranteed results or numbers that can't be checked — always ask where a figure comes from.
